I DID say I make another video with the other violin I was testing. Here it is. And I pretty much chose this violin, it projects well and I can handle it without breaking my or others' eardrums. Here's a sample of it with me playing Mozart 3.
This, along with Mozart's other violin concertos, are DECEPTIVELY simple. Like Beethoven's concerto, it's basically scales and arpeggio patterns made into melodic variations. Very technical. VERY HARD. Really, it more difficult than it sounds. Somehow I managed to play through a passable attempt(messed up on an arpeggio pattern, but again you can just see how technical it is). A minute of it near the end of is in the video.
I have to play this for a jury, recital, AND an audition recording. Wish me luck.
